Nike SB Dunk High Sean Cliver Krampus Review

This past Saturday at SanctSHOEary we unveiled an upcoming Nike SB Dunk high that is rumored to be the Quickstrike for December. Designed by the multi-talented Sean Cliver and inspired by the legend of Krampus, these kix are definitely eye catching. The upper is crafted from black and gym red horse hair, which comes from Krampus' goat-like appearance, and black leather that is textured with cracks similar to the Roller Derby Dunks. The gym red Swoosh and heel tab are also cracked leather. The tongue tag is red and has an image of Krampus with his tongue hanging out. Rumor has it that the initial design featured Krampus' tongue as the Nike Swoosh, but that has been changed. The insoles feature a great graphic of Santa holding Krampus by the tongue. The sock liner is a thick fleece type material in black. The black midsole features a red speckled pattern that resembles blood splatters. A translucent bottom finishes these off. They come with a set of red and a set of black flat laces. Aside from a slight pattern overlap on the insoles, the pair I have is flawless. It's one of the nicest SB releases I have seen in a while as far as quality of materials and craftsmanship. Due to the thick sock liners, the insides are incredibly soft and comfortable, but I imagine they will be too hot on my feet during Tampa's summer months. These are said to be releasing December 5th to go along with the Krampus folklore, but with the way Nike SB releases have been lately, I wouldn't bet on that exact date.

These dunks are posted on our Foot Fetish app right now, so go ahead and get in line.

We will be posting the rest of the photos and some video from SanctSHOEary soon, and the red carpet voting is open through Friday.
