November 18th was a typical promotional visit to the sunshine state for President John F. Kennedy. It was quite the opposite for the City of Tampa and it’s law enforcement, as this would be the first time a sitting President visited the Bay area of Florida.

With tensions surrounding numerous sensitive conflicts, both nationally and internationally, visiting a city filled with Cuban nationals may have seemed a bit unwise for the President. However, riding in the same vehicle that he would ultimately parish in four days later, President Kennedy rode through the streets of Tampa with a full security detail by his side.

Rumors of White House officials ordering agents to “not ride on the car with the President” have always been a huge topic of conversation among conspiracy theorists. However, one agent was quoted stating “I rode with Kennedy every time he rode. I heard no such order. As I remember it, the agents rode on the rear bumper all the way. Kennedy was very happy during his visit to Tampa.”

Is Tampa the reason why the JFK assassination ultimately took place in Dallas? We think so.
