#TBT Bastien Salabanzi Tampa Pro 2004

Last weekend's Zaturdays already linked to this, but you probably didn’t see it, and since there are no rules on the Internet we’re linking to it again. Besides, this Bastien footage is seriously some of the best skating to ever go down at SPoT, so its worthy of a second look regardless. Bastien was one of those prodigy type kids that was way WAY ahead of the curve when he was like 10. I know because I met him at Woodward when he was 10 and it was obvious he was going to be able to take his skateboarding wherever he wanted to go with it. And in 2004 he proved me right by coming to Tampa Pro, making a million impossible tricks, and skating away with the win. Geoff Rowley claims that Bastien pioneered the Street League level of consistency we see today. Geoff knows what he’s talking about, that’s why Bastien was on Flip. But anyway, this is a compilation of just some of what Bastien did to win Tampa that year. Filmed and edited by Ewan Bowman. Bon appétit.
