Nike SB Damn Am Chicago 2016 - Tourist Mission

Posted on Friday, August 12, 2016 by Chris

While we're holding it down here in Tampa, Schaefer, Eric McKenney and the away team are up in Chicago for the next stop of the Damn Am series. The contest doesn't officially start until Saturday, so the boys got some rental bikes, met up with a couple locals, and hit the streets in search of some favorite spots.
Plan for the day: grab some bikes, some boards, a bunch of Nike dudes, some homies, and hit the streets.
Before we hit it, Chi-town locals Spaz and G take advantage of the new ping-pong table at Grant Skatepark.

Steve Berra sighting on the way out.
First spot and coordinator, Paul Zitzer shows the kids he’s got it with a Smith Grind right off the bat.
Bob
Hans and Franz.
When you bust your toe, Birks are the way to go.
Kevin Scott shows Paul maybe he didn’t have it as good as he might have thought with a back 5-0 Shuv out.
Filmer Tim Cisilino got caught up and took a board to the face.
At one point, it became more about the bikes than the boards. Dashawn Jordan shows off his Backwards Downhill Ride.
Dylan Witkin wanted to let 'em know, ‘Hey, I got moves too!’
Sinclair drops the mic with a classic/traditional uphill dismount.
Lastly, G comes thru with a bike and board hybrid.
Skating is tight and all, but this don’t look too bad either.
Next Spot: C wall; and Hoffart shows Zitzer ‘Yo! do it like this bro!’
But then Dylan Luloff is all ‘nah naw, gotta go no hands dude!’
Lastly, Witkin is like ‘y’all trippin, catch some air or kick rocks yuh dingus!’
He celebrates getting some milf diggies.
Bust by boat? …nawww they got bigger fish to fry.
One last spot for the day and Greyson Beal gives SPoT filmer Frank Branca some goods before we call it.
Jordan Hoffart seals the day's sesh with this distance of a Noseblunt Slide.
By the end of the day the kids were too cool and dipped on us, but all good…we held it down anyway. Stay tuned tomorrow for practice photos and Best Trick; it's going to be epic!
