Note: Late Thursday evening, we discovered the shipment of Skatelite for the Mini-Mega is delayed at the port in Durban. So, Mini-Mega has been switched with the Vert Contest. Mini-Mega is now on Saturday at 4:30pm and Vert is now on Friday at 5pm. The schedule below is updated.

Friday, Sept. 30th: Vert World Championship
  • 10am – 5pm: Open Vert and Mini Mega Practice
  • 10am - 11am: South African Am Open Qualifier
    • Open Jam – details TBD
    • Designated number of skaters will be chosen to skate in the South African Am
  • 11am – 6pm: Open Street Practice
  • 5pm - 6pm - Vert World Championship
    • 12 skaters
    • 2 Jams
    • 6 skaters per Jam, skate in order
    • 5 runs, best counts
    • 12 walls back-to-back
    • If skater falls prior to 12th wall, run is over
    • All runs are scored even if skater doesn’t make all 12 walls
    • 50% of score, Mini Mega is other 50%
    • Overall time is 58 minutes

    • Top 12 skaters advance to Finals with 1st through 4th getting a first round bye
    • Overall time is 2 hours and 52 minutes
  • 4:30pm – 6pm: Mini Mega Finals and Awards
    • 12 Vert Finalists automatically qualify
