This throwback goes out to Jason Dill and all his stylish contributions to skateboarding. Dill's been putting out amazing parts for a decade plus and is still going. Each part always represents a new era of Dill if you will. Whether it's the clothes he's wearing, the tricks he's doing, or the spots he's skating...and sometimes even the lack of spots he's skating. Dill is always ahead of the game. Some might even ask, "Is Jason Dill the style icon of skateboarding?" After the below photo came out the Slap boards went off, with one user coming up with this. Is Jason Dill to skateboarding what Jerry West is to basketball?

Our History in Amsterdam and Porpe's Future There

It's been several years of us doing that amazing skateboard shindig in the town that's like Disney World with legal drugs and hookers. Yep, AmsterDamn Am is where we:

Now Porpe is joining us this year for the first time. I hope that isn't the contest where he finally gets fired. Open, legal access to the dope plus all of the previously mentioned vices all on a silver platter in front of you can do that, especially if you're already friendly to it. Keep yourself in check, Porpe. I'm pulling for you to make it out alive and still employed. Apparently only the locals can partake in the smoke so we'll see how that goes. What also might be coming to an end is Skatepark Amsterdam and possibly the Damn Am itself in that town if someone doesn't get this park saved. Who knows if a petition is going to save it, but you can sign here. Slacktivism hits skateboarding yet again. Hopefully it works this time. Anyway, AmsterDamn Am this year is on July 6 - 8, 2012. The Feel Good Story of the Weekend

If you didn't see it on the social networks regarding this post about some kids in downtown Tampa I saw yesterday getting stopped by police, here's the story:

Pretty amazing story these kids have. It's not what you expect. They're just getting stopped by police because they matched a description of some sketchy graffiti vandals. They're not getting skateboard tickets. Even better, they got stopped by police earlier when only two out of the three of them had skateboards. The cop pulled two boards out of his trunk and let the kid without a board have one. Wow. It's nice to run into some good ones every now and then. Thanks TPD.

First Blood: The Return of the Camo Cargo

Back here in Innetech, we've had our laughs over the re-rise of cargo pants and even crazier, camo. Browse through the New Arrivals Page and you'll find enough gear for war with a head to toe camo kit consisting of pants, hoodies, shorts that nearly sold out the day we got them in, boards, and even headphones. I have had my rants on the camo cargos in the past, too. What seals the deal for camo cargo popularity now for me is the photo you've seen making the rounds in the news. Check this kid here who can probably kickflip and might have the word MILF in his vocabulary on the cover of Time Magazine with a boob in his mouth. Wow. I wonder if he got those pants at skateparkoftampa.com? Thanks for shopping. See you in the jungle. Now, what's the camo cargo Mayor going to do?

Someone Should Make Leopard Print Pool Floaties

Clem, Justin, and HiDefJoe are out in California on some bid'niss with a dose of pleasure as usual. In this quick video HiDefJoe put together from stopping by the Pro-Tec Pool Party practice session, we have the classic leopard print pads slashing around and this dude at the end destroying it padless. Damn, who dat!? Wish I was there. Well, not really. I'm still making jokes about when I couldn't get in.

From Finland with Love

Part one of Arto Saari's epic Epicly Later'd series has just aired. In the first episode, Arto explains the surreal experience of going from being a regular kid in Finland, to entering pro contests with the best skaters in the world. There's also a lesson on the sauna, which plays a major role in Finnish culture. I wonder if Clements joined him for a nude sauna session when he visited?

Skateboarding is Not for Everyone

Saw this on PetaPixel's site. So this mom takes a photo of her kid on the first day of school every day for 12 years. Can you tell when the kid started "skating"? That being in quotes because you can't really tell who skates by the feets anymore these days. Looks like a pair of Half Cabs came in at year seven and by year 10 he must have been pretty confused with wearing Fallens and being a bowl troll as evidenced by those rabbit ear laces dragging the ground like caveman knuckles. Anyway, this kid not only needs some pants, but if you look at the end, you can use the feets to make the fair judgement call that he quit skating by that time. Or started longboarding. Same difference. It's a sad pattern that I'm afraid too many kids go through. Oh well, in 10 years he'll be telling glory days stories about how he used to skate then going modern day mid-life crisis. Don't ever stop, kids. Skateboarding is the fountain of youth physically and mentally. This kid in 12th grade is already older than your dad.

Stevie Williams' Playground in ATL and a Skateboard Road Trip: SPoT Life Episode 11

It's not just the Damn Am that goes on when a crew of dudes piles into a big ass truck to drive from Tampa to Atlanta. In between, it's everything from random skate parks like Central City somewhere in Georgia, to all the things you do to pass time on the road, like Porpe's dice rolling problem. The crew even got to stop at Da Playground for a rare filming mission granted to outsiders. In the middle of all that was the Red Bull Mind the Gap Contest at the Poplar Street gap in downtown ATL. It's another episode of SPoT Life as Schaefer, Porpe, and a crew of SPoT locals take a road trip through Florida and Georgia.

The Great Case of the Poo Poo Bandit at SPoT

We've got a perpetrator here committing atrocious acts, or should I say poopetrator. Yep, this mystery character I refer to as the Poo Poo Bandit is not settling for the plain old upper decker. That's too easy since you have actual privacy when executing that despicable act. This fecal criminal is TAKING A DUMP IN THE URINALS here at SPoT. Yes, you read that right. Full stand up, forward facing, hot steamy log pinch in plain view of any would be innocent bathroom arrivals. The poopetrator has struck three times now (three times!?!) and it's about time we get to the bottom of it. I interviewed some of the staff to get some clues to kick off my investigation. To your left here is an artist rendition of what the sneaky poopetrator may look like. Put on your thinking caps and maybe some rubber gloves. You can help me solve the case of the Poo Poo Bandit. Want to know what was going on with Andrew Reynolds ten years ago? Then check out this Thrasher interview from Chromeball. This interview is full of Florida coverage. Reynolds spends some time in Tampa hitting up spots like Blue Ten, Schoolboard, and Chapin's Gap. Then he heads back to his hometown of Lakeland for a mean KF Back Tail. Some of these tricks ended up in some forgotten montages like this Baker montage from ON Video, and a Transworld montage from In Bloom.

LRG Visits The Sunshine State

LRG has an edit up of their travels through Florida. They start their journey in Sarasota with Billy Marks and Chico Brenes killing the pyramid hip combo. From there they hit up The Schoolyard so Tom Asta can get tech on the ledges. Finally, they end it all inside our crusty little hut in Tampa. A Case of the Mondays, Volume 1: Al Bow's Innetech Update
