How could you not be an Alcosmolik? We’re talking about the style, the attitude, the embodiment of everything that made the San Diego scene blow up in the 1990s. Peter Smolik was on the cutting edge of ledge skating for days, with the signature sag, crooked brim, and puffy shoes just adding to the allure. But it was the moves that made us fans, and Smolik’s still hold up. Handpicked by Muska to be on the Shorty’s squad, he was on a roll until the luster of the Shorty’s / Osiris / San Diego scene just sort of wore off. But it’s Smolik, and with Sk8Mafia he picked right back up where he left off, and now all we need is one more part like this out of him.
