Kyle, Killing It Since Day One

Way back in 2007 was when we first met Kyle Walker at Damn Am Costa Mesa, his first one. He turned heads and made it to the Finals there and has been killing it ever since. For the next few years, we saw him with his supportive parents everywhere from the Tranquility rail to Kyle coming back to win Damn Am Costa Mesa in 2010 and again the following year in Woodward. Now he drops this amazing part and like 120+ of today's top pros that have skated Damn Am, he's on the path to his name on a board. It's pretty amazing to see it coming full circle for yet another skater we've seen grow through Damn Am and Tampa Am. Check out Kyle's full part, "In Color". Don't stop at the credits because that's where it keeps getting better. Thanks Kyle and everyone we know for always being a part of our events so we can see you skate in person as well as getting it done in the streets with video parts.

Damn Am Los Angeles in Two Weeks

This photo of Nike's Sixth and Mill spot from our trip last week is all we have to show you until it all gets unveiled for Damn Am Los Angeles on May 31 to June 2. It's the first Damn Am ever in Los Angeles. I'm looking forward to seeing you ripping at this one. Registration is going on right now so hit me up if you're down: rob@skateparkoftampa.com. Thanks to Nike for getting on board with another Damn Am. It's amazing to watch how so many of you have been in Damn Am as part of the path to professional skateboarding. Who's next? See you in LA in just two weeks.

Damn Am Atlanta Weekend Photos

What a weekend at Damn Am Atlanta. From the road trip to the skating to the new friends and old ones, I hope you had as much fun as I did. Thanks to DVS, Red Bull, and all the other sponsors that contributed to making yet another Damn Am event that leaves us wanting more. I like to re-live the weekend through my photos. Check them out here: Damn Am Atlanta 2013 Presented by DVS.

Rob's Cell Phone Edit: Damn Am Atlanta Vine Out

I've been hooked on this new video app called Vine that limits you to six second posts. All weekend long, I didn't get any regular clips for a cell phone edit because I was busy blowing it up on the Vine feed for my own and the Skatepark of Tampa. So, my cell phone edit is nothing but my six second Vine posts all strung together to tell the story of one of the most fun Damn Ams in recent times. The road trip element and the crew we're with made it so good.

Damn Am Atlanta Finals Recap

Sunday at Damn Am Atlanta presented by DVS was the best skating of the weekend as 141 rippers were cut down to the top 30. Thanks for checking out a new episode of SPoT Life:

Damn Am Final Results and How Yoshi Won It

Here's how Yoshi Tanenbaum just won Damn Am Atlanta:
Yoshi capped off the last Jam with a back tail 360 flip out on the quarter that was popped like it was on flat ground. Right now he's on his way back to Maryland to get to school tomorrow. Check the Final results here. In 2nd was John Hill who we met at Manny Mania in Charlotte years ago. Kevin Braun skated his first Damn Am this weekend and got 1st in the Semi-Finals and 3rd in the Finals. Nollie flip noseslides on the rail and nollie heel crooked grinds in your run will make a splash like that. We first met Kevin back in 2009 when we froze our asses off in Chicago. It was nice meeting new friends and old ones all weekend long at another amazing Damn Am stop. Thank you all for skating, watching, high fiving, and being damn awesome. See you at the next one.

These 28 skaters are in the Damn Am Atlanta Semi-Finals today. Top 10 make the cut to the Finals to join Yoshi and Dalton who got the Golden Tickets in the Qualifiers yesterday. Sorry there's no broadcast on this one, but we'll have a couple episodes of SPoT Life coming up to cover the whole thing for you.

Last Night in Atlanta: Da Playground

Last night we stopped by Da Playground in Atlanta where Markus Jalaber and the rest of the SPoT team ripped, tore, shredded, stabbed, punched, kicked, smashed, and all that skateboard-wise. Damn, what a good time. Thanks Kayo for having us and allowing us to shoot photos and film. An edit and more is coming, but for now, toast on this backside flip nosegrind.
