Andrew Reynolds' New Shoe In Stock
Posted by Rob, Sunday, March 31, 2013 12:26 AM
Andrew Reynolds' new Emerica shoe is in stock and on sale right now.
Thanks to Emerica for hooking us up with an early shipment for today's release at selected shops.
In the words of AlBow aka MP3J from A Case of the Mondays fame:
The Reynolds is a mid-top, high performance skate shoe designed and tested by Andrew Reynolds himself. At first glance it looks like The Reynolds incorporates the best parts of a few pro model shoes on Emerica using lightweight and flexible G6 cupsoles like the Herman G6, breathable padded tongues and asymmetrical mid-top collars like the Brandon Westgate pro model, and solid toecaps like the stylish Reynolds Cruisers. They also have a Perforated foam layer beneath the upper for breathability and lightweight support and structure, as-well-as a internal fore-foot support system that improves stability, and triangle pattern tread with a solid heel tread panel to reduce effects of heel drag wear, helping the shoes last longer, and providing overall maximum grip for longer tread life for more confident skating.

The Line Starts Here
Posted by Rob, Friday, March 01, 2013 10:31 AM
Looks like the line started last night for the release of the SPoT X Lance Mountain 20 Year Dunk Low. I'll do my best to keep you updated on Twitter with the line and whether or not we think we have enough shoes for everyone to get a pair as the line grows. After lunch today, we'll pick the top 20 finalists from our #SPoT20YearDunk Contest on Instagram. We've also got the Red Bull Wings Team coming out for a couple visits plus some other goods for ya'll in line. Thanks again for the support and working with us on this release.
Also, thanks to Bay Area Soleciety for the nice words about Ybor:
The Cigar City release was dope.. Camping in Ybor is not like regular mall releases. A lot more laid back more true heads in line

The Story of a Crusty Mexican Blanket
Posted by Rob, Wednesday, February 27, 2013 7:26 PM
There's a blanket handmade in Tijuana with each pair of the SPoT 20 Year Nike SB Lance Mountain Dunk Low that's releasing this Saturday. Over 20 years ago before SPoT opened its doors, Tampa needed a place to house the vert ramp that was in Paul Zitzer's warehouse. Brian Schaefer set off on trip to San Jose to skate and check out some skateparks there. When he found some friends who had a warehouse full of ramps where they lived in to save money, he knew that’s how we would go back to Tampa to start SPoT. On that trip, he went to Tijuana and picked up a Mexican blanket. Since SPoT opened up on January 1, 1993, that blanket has been used to cover the front door to keep the sketchy neighborhood creepers from peering into the shop and getting grand plans to rob the place. Still to this day, the blanket hangs on the door. We hope you can make it to the release this Saturday at SPoT Ybor at noon. If you’re out of state, check @SPoTTampa on Instagram for a contest we’re having to win the right to buy a pair that we will ship to you. Thanks for 20 years of support. We hope you have 20 more. We’ll be here doing the same thing. 93 ‘till infinity.
