Day By Day At Tampa Pro 2003

Friday, March 14, 3pm

Ok, so Ryan Sheckler is skating in the contest. All during practice, he made sure he had his run completely down. Then he pulled it off perfect during his first run. In his second run, he completely switched it up with new tricks since he knew he did so good on his first and had some breathing room - it's your best run that counts. He stuck everything perfect in his second run also. That's how you get a golden ticket in a pro contest. He tied with Colt Cannon for first, but in a tie, we go to your second run. Sheckler won out.

The Brazilian dude in fourth with no sponsors - that's correct. He fully rips and I'm sure he'll have plenty after he leaves here.

After the Team Manager and Industry VIP Contest, I'll tell you more about what went on and also post all the photos and video from this morning.

The Team Manager and Industry VIP Contest was pretty tough to take photos of. In one run you'd have someone doing freestyle flat ground stuff and in another you'd have someone like Mic-e Reyes with a suit and helmet on fully goofing off. Anyway, photos and video below tell a better story than I can at this point. Check 'em out below.

The premiere of the Tampa Am Experience 2003 was last night along with some bands including Lance Mountain's group, "The Sten Guns." This photo to your left sums up the night pretty much.
