Nike Dunk High Doernbecher Shoes

Last year when the latest Doernbecher project was announced and I saw that an SB Dunk was included, I began wondering whether or not they would be available through any SB retailers, or if they would only be available directly through Nike as were all previous releases. When they dropped November 30th, it seemed they would be sold exclusively through Nike and we here at SPoT didn't anticipate receiving any pairs. So you can imagine how surprised we were last week when we received a shipment of these sneakers with an amazing story behind them.

I am not going to review these since there are many reviews already available online, but I do want to point out that the heart and "THUMP THUMP" design on the kix are engraved into the leather, not printed on as I previously thought. Also, they do not come with extra laces (why?), but do come with a pair of Nike Elite basketball socks. Which is an interesting sort of Nike SB and Nike Basketball collaboration.

These were added to the SPoT Foot Fetish. Rob was going to send out vouchers last night, but almost died from the flu. So the pre-release date is pushed to tomorrow, January 16. Vouchers will be sent out tonight so you still have some time to get in digital line. Those chosen are able to pick up their kix anytime tomorrow between 12pm and 8pm at SPoT Ybor. The rest go on sale at noon Thursday, January 17th, at SPoT Ybor for $123.05 after tax. We only got a handful, but we'll Tweet an update if any are left for general release.
