Nike Dunk Low Black Rain Review

Wit-E Beats here, back from a sabbatical with a review of the Nike SB quickstrike for October, the "Black Rain" dunk low. I honestly wasn't feeling these until I saw them in person & changed my mind. The upper is black pebbled leather that reminds me of the leather that was used on the Shrimp dunks. A translucent Swoosh ties into the icy bottom that sits under a white midsole. The Nike branding on the heel and tongue tag are also white along with a set of white laces. The sneakers feature a Doo-Doo Brown interior lining with standard black SB insoles and they come with black laces in them. The main feature of these dunks is the "water" drops along the midpanel. I am not sure what it is, but it truly looks like beaded up water droplets sitting on the shoe, as they are textured and not just printed on. Each pair features a unique pattern of water drops making them all one of a kind. My two gripes are that they didn't include any drops on the toebox and I would have rather seen a gum bottom, but understand that they used the clear outsole to tie into the Swoosh. Even though this is a recycled concept, it was executed nicely and I look forward to rocking these on a rainy Tampa day. They release this Saturday, October 12th, at noon inside SPoT Ybor and retail for $98 + tax.
