I understand fishing, golfing, or surfing at 9am, but skating?? C’monnnn! The Lutzka munches up Frontside Flips for breakfast kiddddd!!!!
Years ago I lived in a skatepark with Trevor Colden, he would always wake us up skating in the early morn… I guess things just haven’t changed.
Floridian local, Chris Kendall also catches the early bird special with a Tre Flip over the box thingy.
Gregory Lutzka keeps it goin’ throughout the morn with the elusive Frontside Half-Cab Melon.
You think Trevor Colden is gonna settle for a back grind on a flat bar??! Yeaa Right! Drop n' pop baby!
Ain’t nuthin’ wrong with a li'l Ollie to fakie…. Perma hype man! Justin Brock has got it on lock.
If you’re even half a skate rat, you’ve seen Ryan Decenzo’s street carnage, but what about his tranny skills? Look no further; yea, he’s got 'em..
Why produce photo sponsorship incentive with a little sticker on your board when you can just put up banner in the background of your B/S Lipslide? Trevor Colden (again) plays it smart.
Ishod Wair is a no nonsense kinda guy, coming outta the gates hot with a Gap To Frontside Bluntslide.
I asked Ishod why he went from his qualifying 1st run straight to a haircut, and he told me he’s already dirty... might as well be covered in hair. Couldn’t argue with that.
A wise man (Lance Conklin) once told me never smile for a photo...stayin’ true to the mantra with his tattoo crew.
Aaron Herrington might have not done a double flip-flop down the rail hupahupadingdang out, but if you don’t enjoy how sick his skating is you’re a clown. Ollie out back 50 stall back into the tranny.
Greyson Fletcher and Ben Raybourn did some kind of impromptu double run. Regardless, it was amazing to watch.
Braulio Sagas can blast! Melon to fakie.
Jud
Back in the 90’s I used to work at skate camp with Jud ‘Farm Boy’ Heald’. He’s always been a wild man...B/S Ollie.
My personal highlight of the day: watching Mike Vallely Foot Plant the wall above the big quarter pipe. It was raw, ridiculous, and pretty much the best thing ever.
Ben
My photo of Ben Raybourn’s Backside 360 Nose-Grab is shit, but his hair in the photo is phenomenal.
Top 30 made the Semi-Finals, but only 2 got the Golden Ticket to straight to the Finals plus a cool $500. And sure enough, those two are Ishod Wair and Shane O’neill.
Ahhhhh my love affair….food trucks.
Bring your kids to open bar day.
Can someone please let the Fort Myers crew into watch the Independent Best Trick Contest?!
Billy Marks didn’t make the top three of Best Trick but still got a notable mention for this Tre Flip Fatty To Flatty.
Kelvin Hoefler is no joke! Exemplified here with a Gap To Noseblunt Slide among a few other stunts getting him 3rd for Best Trick.
A pale Ginger born, raised, and still living in Florida..that’s gotta be rough. Perhaps Timmy Knuth got his big Floridian break with this Kickflip Gap Crooked Grind getting him second in Best Trick.
Ryan Decenzo told me earlier on he wasn’t sure if he was going to enter the Best Trick Contest cause he didn’t know what to do. I guess he came up with something, cause this ain’t no simpleton Kickflip to flat. There is also a Late Shove involved among other maneuvers getting him first place in Best Trick.
Why do a top three when we can do a top five?! The more the merrier right? Only downside is getting everyone to look reasonable for the photo..oh well. Congrats to the Tampa Pro 2015 Best Trick Winnners.
