Skating Across Borders Ramp Jam 2022

Posted on Sunday, May 29, 2022 by Matt Shail

The SPoT crew hops in the van and heads across the bay to St. Petersburg to setup the ramp for the Skating Across Borders charity fundraiser event at Green Bench Brewery. We couldn’t build the ramp without hosting an All Ages showdown! Here’s a look back at how the afternoon went!

Things started off muggy and cloudy. Rocco and the ramp crew unloaded the trailers to build this ramp rain or shine!
Brian has been hands on for almost 30 years now. This man knows a thing or two about building a ramp
"make sure it is square and level"
If only pictures could tell time. 3 photos in and the ramp is already built!
Scott and his new apprentice Rocco taking extra care of the radius and flat bottom
Would you believe we can fit half of a ramp on a Uhual trailer behind a Honda Pilot? This isn't an ad
Let's get some skating going. Curren kicking off the 8 & under division!
Sebastian getting those frontside airs in before he starts skating 9-12 division

Liquid Death was on tap...well I guess it was in a can
Dropped by some of the vendors to see what was going on. Saw some dope flash tattoo art!

Alex and Ayden were trying to raffle off a bunch of free gear but nobody was showing up!

Alex looks like he is prepping the crowd for battle. I suppose the best trick contest later in the evening was pretty close to a battle!
Keenan is an all around ATV and one of my favorite skaters in the Bay Area. I promise that has nothing to do with me being the SPoT TM and everything with Keenan being raw
You can feel it on the ramp when Juan Pineiro drops in.
Austin definitely set the bar for airs above coping
Jordi kickflip fakie making it just inside the frame of my photo
