Photos from the SPoT Harvest Jam 2006 All Ages Contest...

By Rob Meronek

I have over 8,000 songs in my iPod and that includes some seriously embarassing stuff I've accumulated over the years such as the techno version of the Smurfs theme song, Wilson Phillips, some Bon Jovi, Skater Boi, Britney Spears, and more. DJ Chris Jata made sure to play the worst of the worst during certain runs which ended up being pretty entertaining. Thanks to everyone that showed up and ripped and to all the sponsors that sent products for prizes. We had enough to give prizes out all the way down to fifth place.

Check out the full results here.

Alessandro Sorgente is clearing the double set to first place in 8 and Under

It's getting easier to judge the 8 and Under division because these kids are all getting good instead of it being a kickturn contest like it used to be. This is Brennan Campbel doing a backside transfer

Dirt Weasel made this kickflip in his run. How did he do in the final results? Hell, I don't know. I don't even know his real name

I'm slightly freaked out when there's one other person in the building wearing the same gear as I am. How does the softball team here show up 20 deep all rocking the same shirt? Wow

Sean Gibson is boardsliding to 8th place in the 9 to 12 Division

Brandon Baker won Most Loyal Lurker and Jason Durbin won Most Improved Skater in our Annual Awards thing we do at every Harvest Jam

The mom fights for a deck is always an entertaining intermission

The top five 8 and Under winners. Are you already in school when you're 8? I'd be bringing that stuff to Show 'n Tell on Monday

Top five in the 9 to 12 Division. Oh, there's Dirt Weasel in the back so I guess he at least got fifth place or better

This photo of Mark Monahan who won Parent of the Year is making me want to go have a nice Ruth's Chris Steakhouse meal. Mark is the manager there and skates at the Park on the regular. See you at Ruth's

This is Joshiah Portillo crooked grinding into third place in the 13 to 15 Division and beating his brother who got 8th

This is Joshiah's brother Jacob Portillo on a pop shuv. They have far from the same steez as you can see. I guess they don't have to worry about each other stealing their clothes. Jacob's sister might be a little worried though

Photographer Mike Derewenko decided to enter - backside 50-50 to 13th place in 16 and Up

It's Miles Jensen's choice if he wants to Just Do It or Don't Do It, not some old men your parent's age to decide that for you. If the business skateboarders want to make all the money and profit in skateboarding, they need to make better stuff, not hate their way to fatter wallets. Buy whatever you want wether it be Hush Puppies shoes or girl pants TAPS. We're skateboarders, we can do whatever we want and wear whatever we want. Let's keep it that way. Leave all this stupid sketchy skateboard industry bid'niss crap to the grown ups in the rat race. Ok, back to skateboarding. This is a kickflip

Andre McKenzie gets better and better every time I see him. He did a perfect backside 180 over the long bank to bank in his run. This is a back lip. He ended up in 11th in the 13 to 15 Division

Did a skateboard company make these trophies? No? Oh man, we should boycott them because only skateboarders should make money off skateboarding. Nah just kidding. Profit is like respect. You earn it, you're not entitled to it

Top five in the 13 to 15 Division

Boot scoot boogie foot fetish shot. These jams are straight out of Texas according to the mom that was rocking them

Frosty got Worst Injury of the Year award for shooting a nail through his hand with the nail gun a few months ago

Dexter Carathers won the 13 to 15 Division with tricks like this 360 flip over the hip

One of the hardest tricks of the Contest was done by Cesar Fernandez - switch big flip over the hip. Click here to check out the sequence

The skateboard cool book says you should not do Bennihanna's if you choose to obey the unwritten laws of skateboarding. Chris DeFrancesco still got 2nd even though he broke the cool laws

Body took quite a beating in his second run. This trick has been dubbed the wallie mammoth

There was a mongo pusher in the Sponsored Division. Wow

Spencer Lau's got his one foot into the step up again. This time he stayed on and ended up in 5th in Sponsored

I saw Robby Kirkland winning practice all day with stuff like this large kickflip over the hip, but when it came time for his run, it didn't quite work out

Ryan Dillow salad grinding his way to 1st place in the Sponsored Division

Nate Humphrey is another winner of practice, but fell off in his runs. He rips. Watch for him in Tampa Am. This is a kickflip up the step-up

These are the 16 and Up winners

These are the Sponsored winners
