The skate campers were on some boardslide lessons with Alex when I walked through the Park just now. I found it amazing how each one of them takes a different approach to learning skateboarding. Next time you're at a skate park, take a minute to watch a bunch of new kids and how they learn. Maybe it will remind you to re-think some of the ways you approach learning a new trick. It sure got me thinking and sometimes laughing which is always good.
Sometimes, it feels more natural to hit things frontside. For me growing up skating, everything even to this day feels more comfortable frontside. Kickturn on a bank, skating a mini-ramp, pumping around on a vert ramp - whatever - it's all frontside turns that I gravitate to. Sometimes you're at a stand still when you make your trick. Don't worry, you'll grow out of it and if you don't, it's not hopeless. There are some pros that have made a career out of that. It's okay, everyone beams when they're little. You'll grow out of it. And if you don't, as usual, no worries. There are plenty of big babies with a career in the sketchy skateboard industry.
