FULL-TIME RETAIL OPERATIONS MANAGER
- Managing all elements of retail operations
- Scheduling Retail Staff / Maintenance / Venue
- Merchandising
- Managing Pars and Park Restock
- Communicating all retail needs to Management
- Scheduling Lessons and any follow up needed
- Skate Camp Greeting / addressing any needs of parents
- Managing Skate Camp Lunch program - inventory, budget
- Managing Snack bar inventory / operations with assist from Management
- Managing Video Premieres
- Scheduling for any shows in Transitions Art Gallery
- Training new employees in retail
- Upkeep of shop - floors, retail office, stock rooms, shoe rooms, private label backstock
- Managing all special release events in store - staffing, greeting, run of show
- Managing retail staff for events - adding staff, cutting staff
- Creating incentives for retail staff to increase sales
- Employee write-ups, follow through
- Hiring / interview new employees and terminating existing employees
- Maintaining inside grounds
- Maintaining outside grounds
SPoT Director of Camps and Programs
Plans, coordinates, and oversees summer camps, Sunday lessons, after school programs, adult lessons, day camps, birthday parties, and off site demos. The Director coordinates all activities, and hires camp staff. He/she is responsible for communicating with parents, guardians, teachers, and counselors and other camp staff prior, during, and after the programs are complete.Background Required and Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have experience in planning and marketing major events.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to skateboard and teach others how to skateboard.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Possesses good leadership abilities, management, organizational and communication skills.
- Patient, enthusiastic, self-controlled and dependable.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be knowledgeable of and adheres to all SPoT facility rules and guidelines.
- Develops camp/lesson/program policies, rules, and guidelines.
- Establishes operating budget for the camp and controls expenditures.
- Collaborates with appropriate staff on park availability, facilities management and spaces needed for camps, lessons, birthday parties and other events.
- Oversees the development of the camp program and defines all camp activities.
- Hires, disciplines, supervises and terminates camp staff.
- Conducts Risk Management training and background checks.
- Organizes and coordinates the campers’ registration process.
- Produces forms, letters and pertinent documents needed for the implementation of the camp.
- Handles questions, problems and concerns of parents/guardians before and during camp.
- Observes the peer culture to see if there are any problems and implement solutions as necessary.
- Establishes a procedure for handling all difficulties related to health, behavior and other problems and keeps a record of incidents.
- Monitors and ensures appropriate student behavior and adherence to camp rules and regulations.
- Schedules small group meetings with staff as needed.
- Works closely, cooperatively and amicably with all staff members.
- Handles emergency situations in conjunction with other SPoT staff.
- Assesses the overall program to see if there are any changes that need to be made for optimum functioning and profitability.
