Ryan Sheckler Takes 1st Place at the LG Action Sports Championships
Lake Forest, CA - This past weekend, etnies' own 14-year-old phenomenon Ryan Sheckler took home $30,000 -- his richest win to date. Ryan Sheckler Takes 1st Place at the LG Action Sports Championships
Since Ryan hit the record as the youngest skateboarder to win a pro skateboarding contest with the 2003 Slam City Jam, he's been on a rampage, winning the Triple Crown (New Jersey), Gravity Games and the X Games in 2003.
The story was no different on September 12, 2004 at the LG Action Sports Championships in Pomona, California. In front of thousands, Ryan out-skated such veterans as Fabrizio Santos, Dayne Brummet, Chris Senn and many others to place 1st, bagging the cool $30,000 prize.
His winning run included a gap to krooked grind on a handrail, a lipslide down another rail and a crooked grind down a monster ledge!
etnies would like to congratulate Ryan on his 1st place finish and earning part of the cost of his upcoming first car--a Range Rover.
