An email to Barak's inbox...
Below is an email from Barak's inbox. It's one of many we get from people who try to get us to buy their stuff and sell it in our Shop. Our usual reply is that once kids start asking for your stuff, then we will find you and buy from you, not the other way around. How do you think we should reply to this email? Help us out by posting a comment below.
Subject: How in gods name do I get Invasion into your shop?
My name is Wil, I have been skating for about 20 years (my knees hurt) . I've been to SPOT about 5 times in my life, once for the Pro contest and the other 4 because I was in town. I've been all over the country skating and I've loved every second of it. Here's a pic of me at Laguna Hills park in CA.
I have a small skate company in NY called Invasion Skateboards. The idea for Invasion started about 7 or 8 years ago when I spray painted "invasion" on my grip and for some reason or another Invasion became our posses name. We'd spray paint decks and grip and just mess around with it. We made a few local videos and were just having fun with it.
I moved to California 3 years ago and started drawing up plans to make Invasion a deck company. Everyone was stoked! After about 3 years and thousands of hours of gathering money, graphics, etc... I would like to present to you our first board. The homies are all skating them and they are stoked on the wood. I've skated mine for about a month, trying to see how long they last and it's still got pop.
How would I go about getting my decks and shirts into your shop? I only sell to skate shops that are run by skaters. I'm here to support skateboarding and support skateboarders. I'm not a businessman, I'm a skateboarder.
