What started at 3rd Lair in 2003 as a local contest for groms has grown into the largest youth skateboarding contest series in the world. King of the Groms/Ams currently includes 5 Qualifier stops culminating in an epic Final Championship weekend drawing young skaters from around the globe. Throughout the years, we have seen some of the most talented young riders in skateboarding come through the series including: Cody Davis, Chaz Ortiz, Curren Caples, Alex Midler, Tom Shaar, Jagger Eaton, Mitchie Brusco and more. King of the Groms/Ams, designed for skaters aged 16 and under, features a street contest as well as transition events with multiple divisions. This series is more than just a contest – it is an event. Our skaters are more than just participants – they are a community. Whether you have a shot at becoming the next King or you have just started skateboarding, King of the Groms/Ams is the perfect place to hone your skills, make friends, and have fun. We are the premiere event for young skaters setting the standards for all others.
