Washed Up Recap

On Friday, September 22nd Michael Derewenko and Transitions Art Gallery presented Washed Up. The idea was simple. Send a diver down into the Hillsborough River to recover boards lost by skaters skating the Rail at the Convention Center and the Blue 10 at on Kennedy and Ashley. The exhibit, consisting of actual skateboards recovered at each site and various photos, was a hit with both skater and non-skater alike. The crowd mingled and conversed over drinks provided by Stella and Red Bull. Approximately 125 people made their way into the Gallery throughout the evening, and the first Art Show in the "new" Transitions wound down around midnight.
