If you don’t work in the skateboard industry, you’ve probably never been to what we who do work in the skateboard industry call a “tradeshow.” You lucky dog you. Tradeshows could also be called “bro downs of such epic proportions they can make blood ooze from your eyes sockets.” The particular tradeshow to which I’m dedicating this week’s Zaturdays is a biannual affair that takes place in Long Beach California and is simply known as Agenda. It just ended. The premise of the show is to connect retailers with manufacturers, distributors, and the like. And beside the usual buying and selling of skateboard products, it’s often an outrageous spectacle. So, with you in mind, I went to Agenda on a photo mission to bring you back a sampling of what else goes on. This my friends, is just a small part of it. Words and photos by Paul Zitzer
