Zaturdays: Your Turn

So just about every week for the past year and then some I’ve been using this very hit-or-miss Zaturdays column to spout off about the things that I think matter in skateboarding. Or maybe “kind of matter” is more like it, because in many ways I’m a believer in the concept that besides actually going out and riding your skateboard around, everything else is just idle chatter. But either way I’ve covered the gamut, from advice for amateurs and tributes to my favorite pros, to behind the scenes looks into trade shows and contests. I used one post to issue a public apology to Matt Berger, whom I’d inadvertently cost a shot at winning the SLS Barcelona Pro Open last year. Berger himself acknowledged how incredibly accurate it was in recounting the juiciest details of the story. Look it up if you’re interested. But enough about all of that. Now dear readers, it’s the first official Zaturdays “Your Turn.” Tell me what you think matters in skateboarding, and I’ll pick my favorite suggestion and use it for my next Zaturdays column. I’ll be looking on Instagram and in the comments section below for your input. Or better still, take a crack at writing your own Zaturdays if you want and email it to me at paul@skateparkoftampa.com.
