Day one at Damn Am was flying over the California wildfires, course construction, and a night out at the bars.
Thanks to the asshole that destroyed my ledge |
Schaefer made Porpe lug a surfboard across the country for him. It costs $80 to check a surfboard. Wow. Not that I would ever be caught dead with a surfboard, but I would just leave my shakka stick behind and save $80 |
We had a layover in Minneapolis. Target used the top of their building as a billboard to people flying over. Minneapolis is flat like Florida |
There are some serious mountain ranges to be seen going from Minneapolis to California |
I can't get enough of looking out the plane window. The sky above these mountains is amazing right now |
We're flying up on one of the mountain-side fires now |
We were pretty far away, but the smoke was still crazy |
Okay, we're on site now and the course is coming together thanks to Peck, Schaefer, and Big Al swinging hammers all week. All three of them are esteemed members of the Skatepark of Tampa Party Team |
Now it's time for some California nightlife. Things are getting started with a cow foot fetish |
Out of all the places I've been in the world, California is the most uptight, overregulated, and paranoid |
Check the shining CZ diamond on that foot fetish. I turned the camera the other way so you cuold get the opposite view of all the heads in this crowded foot fetish. I don't know who half these people are |
This is Porpe's first time in uptight California. They don't allow you to smoke anywhere indoors here, not even in bars or nightclubs. We don't care because we're from Florida. We smoke everywhere |
Uptight California doesn't allow anyone under the age of 21 into bars and nightclubs. We don't care because we're from Florida. Dancin' DMFP here pulled the sneak attack to get in this place |
