Push Art Tampa Bay is a skateboard art show curated by Matt Mewis in collaboration with Skate Park of Tampa, Tampa AM, and Shapes Skateboard Distribution.
This show was born out of a desire to showcase the incredible talent of my friends, old and new, who have influenced me creatively over the years—including skateboarders, filmmakers, graphic designers, photographers, musicians, painters, and more.
The event will feature 99 original pieces of skateboard art from artists across the country. Featured artists include Brett Land, Grant Gunderdson, Jason Rockhill, Conrad Garner, Lesha Porche, Mike Pissari, and many, many more.
A portion of each board sale will be donated to Boards for Bros, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Since 2006, they have been committed to collecting and refurbishing skateboards to distribute to youth who can’t afford their own. Boards for Bros provides equipment, safe skate spots, and youth mentoring in communities with chapters in Tampa, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, and California.
