This weekend in Wilmington, North Carolina is Red Bull's Battleship Contest, in association with SPoTlight Productions. There's a $7,000 purse and it's for shop sponsored skaters only. The shops are Vertical Urge, SPoT, Westside, Endless Grind, Skate Barn, Continuum, Board City, and Ambush. After the entire internet covers the event, you can check for my coverage last in line here. For the record, "SPoT" is short for "SkatePark of Tampa." Someone mentioned to me they tHouGhT wE wUz beIN' KeWl bY wRiTIn' iT liKE tHaT, omg, LOL. Uh, no.
