We've been doing the Harvest Jam All Ages Contest every year at SPoT since 2003. Let's look at a few things from way back when:
- Timmy Knuth was ruling 12 and Under.
- Dylan Perry looked 12, but was ruling 16 and Up.
- Chris Jata hasn't changed much.
- Curtis Valentine has moved on to lurk other joints.
- Some kids got frightened out of skateboarding.
- Robby Kirkland is still improving.
- Not that I'm some expert on photos today, but damn, just a few years ago I literally had no idea what I was doing. If you like doing something, stick with it even if you suck at it. I did that for skateboarding and picture taking and I'm pretty happy at my ripe old age these days.
- This weekend is another Harvest Jam. Register at skateparkoftampa.com/contest and I'll see you here with the camera pointed in your face as usual. Expedition One is backing this Harvest Jam and has Rob Welsh and Joey Pepper coming to hang out on Friday night. That reminds me, remember the pants pic? See you here at SPoT this weekend.
- After the Harvest Jam, join us at The Bricks for the All Ages Awards at 7pm. Check out a refresher from last year to see what you're in for.
