TBT: Jeff Grosso Speed Freaks

We’re going back to the ‘80s for this one... Jeff Grosso’s part (if it can really be called that) from the Santa Cruz Speed Freaks video. It shows that offering up skate commentary like the kind he dishes in Loveletters isn’t some new thing for Grosso. Here we get the infamous eyebrow shaving scene and quotes that have been used and abused worldwide at halfpipe sessions ever since. Jeff is on the internet somewhere saying this part “pretty much sucks,” and even though the skate clips, consisting of one line on vert and four marginal walls of a mini ramp run, are far eclipsed by the “lifestyle footage” this is a part of skate history that everybody should make themselves familiar with.
