In 1977, Tony Alva modified the already classic Vans Authentic by adding collar padding and a heel cap for support to create the now-classic Vans Era, the first shoe designed by skaters specifically for skateboarding. A lot has changed since those early days of skateboarding, and now The Vans Pro Classics range includes the classic Vans styles you know and love, but updated and upgraded under the hood to withstand the enhanced performance requirements of skateboarding these days. The newest addition to the Pro Classics lineup is the OG Authentic. The designers at Vans took this iconic silhouette and added their patented polyurethane-based UltraCush HD sockliner providing their highest level of IMPACT cushioning. Sided with Pro Vulc Lite Construction in the heel and the also patented Duracap reinforcement in the toe box, this newly constructed story has everything you need for boardfeel, flex, traction, and durability. Available now in White / White, Black / Black, and the traditional Black / White. Photos : Marino Nicastro @marinonicastro Words : Adam Washell via Vans @warzawfactory @vans @vansskate
