Words and Photos by Rob Meronek

I skipped out on entering another Old Man Bowl Jam again this year due to the same reason as last year. It's at 10am the morning following our 12-Year Anniversary Party. I can still take photos with a bad hangover, though. The event was pretty fun and it's always good to see that people you work with in the industry actually rip. Thanks to Kevin Marks at Overboard Enterprises for organizing this event.

All the old fat guys that skated in the contest collectively decided on who should be the winner and they picked Ryan Clements. Ryan won the Team Manager and Industry VIP Street Contest last year, too. He's on fire. Can it be three in a row? I don't know. I've heard some serious talk from all kinds of people in the industry that are taking that one kind of seriously. That one is in March during the Pro Contest.

Where's Waldo? You can find him in the bowl doing high speed frontside smith grinds to backside revert
Venom knows how to put on a good 80's hair band concert - check this David Lee Roth style jump
Where's Waldo? You can find him in the bowl doing large frontside melons over the hip
Venom put down the cardboard guitar for a second so he could do this frontside grind
Listen kids, just because you see grown ups smoking, drinking, and grabbing their board between their legs doesn't mean it's ok for you to do it
Mike Sinclair is smith grinding his way to third, but I know he's thinking about nothing but snacks
Ryan Clements - frontside 50-50 at speed
Rock out with your gut out
Ryan Clements crail slides his way to victory
Kevin Marks and Venom one up the air guitar move with cardboard cutout guitars - sick
Pete Kelly - frontside tailslide
When you have other peoples' flashes going off right when you take a photo, it makes for some trippy pictures like this one of Bollie doing a frontside ollie over the hip
