The Ali Boulala Epicly Later’d episodes offer some of the best documentary type content about any skater ever. The crash and burn nature of Ali’s story transcends skateboarding and takes on a greater meaning, but it’s still worth looking back on Boulala before everything caught up with him and he was still all about the skating and good times. There was a lot of hype around Ali in the build up to Sorry, everyone was sort of expecting to see some Tom Penny type magic from him, but he didn’t take the expectations nearly as seriously as we did, and what we got instead was this part, which shows some really great skating, along with highly marginal skating, but it’s a great example of a dude having fun doing what he was doing in spite of it all.
