When SPoT opened in ’93, it was barely a skatepark, it was more like a skate house with a lot of space and unlimited potential. Bill Weiss came down from Toronto to become one of the park’s early and more infamous residents. He was known for non-stop comedy, naked 540s, and out-partying everyone. After the pro career Weiss went on to become a founder of Digital video, and these days he’s the Blind TM. Bill still comes to Tampa Pro every year and just skated his way to 13th in the VIP contest. Today we’re throwing it back to a Spot Check on SPoT from 411 issue #10 in 1994, with a tour given by Weiss, and nobody could have done it better.
