Strangelove Summer Shorts
- Product Description by Strangelove: Truth told, we almost called these “Florida Shorts,” because if you skated in the Tampa Bay area anywhere from 1996–2006 these should look familiar. Back in those special days we call the ‘90s, I was the buyer at the good ol' Skatepark of Tampa. Originally, 4 Star clothing released a very similar nylon, elastic waist band short with mesh-lining and zippered pockets. We bought so many pairs then that the sales rep at Girl commented they should call it the Florida Short. Anyway, the shorts became the uniform of local skaters for a couple of summers—really lightweight and baggy, suitable for skating and strip club lap dances, not necessarily waterproof but we wore them to the pool and beach. If you own a copy of Josh Stewart’s videos “Cigar City” or “Rising” you can spot several Tampa locals sporting these. Fast forward some years and I was now working at Nike SB. Somehow I talked our apparel PLM ( thats a Product Line Manager for you non corpo folks) to allow me to create a short for the Southeast region. Using Brian Schaefer, the owner of SPoT, as my fit model, we updated our favorite short with a little less room and some zippered pockets. The shorts didn’t sell that well outside of Florida, but they did become legendary to those that appreciated some comfortable roomy shorts to lounge around in (and, to be honest once again, a few comments about it being the perfect short for the gentlemen clubs). So, here we are in 2025, offering you our latest version of the perfect man-of-leisures-summer-beach-gentlemens-club-almost-swimtrunk short. Keep in mind though, that these are roomier and a little longer than modern day shorts. —Nick

- All shoes are listed in men’s sizing unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Please allow 1-3 business days (excluding Holidays) for your order to be shipped. Once it has been shipped you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number.
- Once you have received a tracking number your order will be unable to be canceled as it has been packed and shipped.
Shipping Information
1. Your shipping options are based on your cart's estimated weight and your zip code.
2. The UPS "clock" starts ticking the DAY AFTER your order is handed to them.
Examples:
- Order on Monday before 2pm and choose 3 Day Select. Tuesday is the first business day, Wednesday is the second, and your order arrives on the third business day: Thursday.
- Order on Friday before 2pm and choose Second Day Air. Monday is the first business day, and Tuesday is the second business day when your order arrives.
- Order on Thursday before 2pm and choose Next Day Air. Since it's before 2pm, your order arrives on the first business day: Friday.

- All orders shipping to Florida get there the next business day so you should always choose UPS Ground if you live in Florida.

Returns & Warranty
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of your order as long as the items are still in brand new condition with all packaging. No returns or exchanges may be made on sale or discounted items. All sales of specialty and limited products are final. No order cancellations or returns may be made for any specialty or limited products. Examples include Nike SB QuickStrike releases and limited edition boards. All decks that are set-up or gripped upon request of the customer are not eligible for return or exchange. Shipping costs are your responsibility unless we made a mistake with your order. In that case, we pay for all shipping costs, including reimbursing you for your return shipping costs. All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
