There are two places where you can clearly see how well someone has the basics of skateboarding down: on the trannys and on the flats. Today, we saw it all on the flatground. Check esgameofskate.com for results soon. Here are some photos I shot during our four hour Monday night where 146 people came down to PJ Castellano winning it again this year.

Brent Sowinski - 360 flip slide around.

Brent Sowinski - ollie impossible or 360 shuv?

Porpe - 40-year-old kickflip in a 25-year-old body.

I just met Jamiah Johnson today. I used to do this trick way too much in the early 90's. I wonder if it's ever coming back.
Forgot to get this dude's name. Who Dat? Nice nollie flip.

I'm trying to get back into using my flash. That's Yonnie on a nollie backside flip over the hip.

Jereme Knibbs has a great looking Cab. Not many people do them with a little tweak like that. You can't even fake this, unlike those yo-flips.

Thanks to Gatorade for supplying the drinks that were sold. All of the proceeds went to Grind for Life.
Antonius Johnson is Jamiah's brother. They're both learning the basics right how. This is a kickflip.
Very busy on the grip.
Seems like a lot more people care about a Game of SKATE than any other demo we've had in a long time.
I spy a 40-year-old kickflip.
PJ Castellano has a mixture of high snaps stuff like this nollie flip...

...to this crop dusting weirdness. The combo of the two put him in 1st.

RayRay - fakie flip.

A much better version of the roshambo is cockroach, foot, nuclear bomb.
It's Jah vs. Jah, winner gets a new pair of shorts.
Hunter Melton got worked by Jata, but not before he got a nice heelflip in.
Jata's got the Beagleoneism hair on this backside flip.

Clements calls this "Markromanaging." It's Mark Waters at work running things.
Porpe made sure to give the judges a shakedown if they didn't count his heel and toe drag.
Andre Mckenzi - fakie 360 flip.

Michael Fish - frontside flip.

If you run the Groucho Marx disguise, maybe you can go twice in the Contest. This is George of the FSEC.
Another name I forgot to get, but he did make it pretty far in the Game.
Skater Profile: Who Dat?
Markus Jalaber was in the Finals missing pressure flips. I think this was a kickflip.

A surfer was in the Finals, too.
The aisle was packed for the last Game.
Watch for Joe Pelham's footage soon. Thanks to everyone who came out for a late Monday night.

PJ Castellano hiked his pants and pressure flipped his way to 1st in the 2010 eS Game of SKATE at SPoT. You're allowed one circus type trick per game like that so he brought out the elephants and tigers. Watch for coverage and footage from Joe Pelham coming up soon. You can check out some cell phone photos of the early results on the SPoT Facebook page.
