Damn Am Trailer

Damn Am is the top amateur skateboarding contest series started by Skatepark of Tampa and the creators of Tampa Am. Damn Am was established in 2001 and went global in 2007. It's a top am skateboarding contest series and the only way to qualify for Tampa Am every year. Over 120 of today's top pros have skated Damn Am in the last decade.

On June 11, 2013 I attended a meeting at Tampa City Hall concerning historic preservation. I remember seeing a petition on the internet to "Save the Bro Bowl" and I think any of us (and many did) would sign a petition to save something that we all have skated from being demolished. The petition that was signed by many, lead people to believe that the government was viciously tearing down a skateboarding landmark with no alternative plan, this wasn't really the case.

When I first moved to Tampa, I was at the height of my skateboarding life as far as ability goes. Jumping down stairs and gaps, going on the endless treasure hunt for spots like ledges, manny pads, and even transition like backyard mini-ramps and vert ramps. Of course I found Tampa's oldest "skatepark", the Bro Bowl. As every other skater I rolled with, we avoided the Bro Bowl because it sucked for anyone who wasn't stuck in the last generation of skateboarding...

They feature an upper composed of a digi camo print with a pixelated floral pattern along with a white Swoosh and midsole.
