WEST 49 "TAKE THE CAKE II" - CANADA'S LARGEST SKATEBOARD EVENT IS BACK BIGGER AND BETTER IN 2012 with Kellogg's* Cinnamon Pops* as presenting sponsor.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: eventSing promotions inc. and West 49 are excited to announce Take The Cake presented by Cinnamon Pops* which will take place at Canada's Wonderland in Vaughan, Ontario on August 30-31, 2012.

In order to reach more fans of skateboarding while still capturing a unique "forum" for this amazing contest – Kingswood Music Theatre at Canada's Wonderland, the country's premier amusement park, and home to world class thrills, fun and family entertainment was selected as this year's venue.

On Friday, August 31st, 2012, West 49 Take The Cake will feature the world's most influential and recognizable pro skaters throwing down their best tricks for a $50,000.00 CASH prize. The 2010 event included the highest caliber skaters including Paul Rodriguez "P-Rod" (Plan B), Chaz Ortiz (Zoo York), Torey Pudwill (DVS) and Sierra Fellers (C1RCA), all who were excited to participate in such a well-produced high profile event.

This year's list of competitors will be no different - Take The Cake is recognized by Street League Skateboarding™ allowing the top pros to participate in this event which is a major acknowledgement for this contest.

The excitement begins on Thursday, August 30th with an amateur qualifying contest on that will give one skater the pass to ride with the world's best in Friday's final feature. The event space will be filled with action sports retailers and manufacturers featuring interactive games, a public skate park and lots to see and do. Kingswood Music Theatre is the perfect venue to host this event and is large enough to host up to 17,000 fans through the two-day event.
