Alltimers Dustin Henry Yukon Deck

These mitts and mukluks are important belongings created by Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in and Tukudh Hwëch’in artists. Some made by Dustin's grandmother and great grandmother. They are from Dawson City, Yukon which is the traditional territory of Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in (people of the river). They are crafted from beaver fur, wolverine fur, moose skin, and caribou skin (also known as hide). Embedded in the beadwork designs are elements of the land and water and those relationships are considered sacred for many.
