On the Streets of Amsterdam During World Cup Madness

After AmsterDamn Am, we had the pleasure of wandering the streets of Amsterdam during this soccer thing that's super popular. We managed to corner Wieger Van Wageningen, a native of the land, for a minute of kickball banter, too. After 45 minutes of fairly uneventful events, at least to us, Colin and I decided to leave the hooligan bar and wander the streets of the city where we would be surprised to find how empty it was. Everyone was glued to boob tubes which, as you know by now, did not end favorably for this town. It was a creepy silence as the city emptied out with people on foot flooding Centraal Station. I thought people would be drinking from the canals, putting weed up their asses, and lighting hookers on fire while this whole soccer holligan madness was going on. Turns out it was fairly mellow, especially after they didn't kick the ball in the box here in Holland. Oh well. At least the skateboarding was good. Maybe next time. Now, let's go home.
