Tampa Am 2014: Friday Qualifiers

Never in the 21 year history of Tampa Am has a local won a golden ticket to the Finals. Until today. Jereme Knibbs who’s been ruling the scene here for years and years came through like all the bros have been waiting for. Front three over the rail, backside sugarcane around the bowl corner, and of course that Knibbs butter steeze all had the judges scoring him higher than approximately 120 other skaters from everywhere in the world. Oscar Meza, Chase Webb, and Tristan Funkhouser all managed to make the 16 cut into Sunday’s semi finals as well. But first we’ve got another round of qualifying on the schedule for Saturday, and even if it’s half as good as today’s it’ll still be amazing.
