#TBT: Alphonzo Rawls H-Street Next Generation

H-Street was the blueprint for the first installment of Plan B in the early ‘90s, which was the blueprint for the second installment of Plan B that we all know today. So guys like Chris Joslin, T-Puds, Sheckler, etc., owe a lot of what they’re currently a part of in some roundabout way to the dudes that did it first on H-Street. Last week I threw back to Hensley, the most G of the H-Streeters, and this week I’m going with the guy that to me epitomizes the H-Street vibe better than anyone, Alphonzo Rawls. He was all NBDs all day, and there are few if any skaters since who could mix it up so well between street, mini ramp, and vert. If this part is dated at all it’s due more to the outfits and the editing than the tricks or technique. Alphonzo Rawls, one of the best to ever roll. Although his pro career didn’t last as long as I think it should have, he’s still around and fully in the game today with #EveryBodySkates. And he still rips.
