Filmer Joe Krolick has a nice trip down memory lane to Tampa Am 2000 featuring Chad Tim Tim, Aaron Suski, Nate Jones, Danny Garcia, Chris Cole, James Craig, Frank Gerwer, Dennis Busenitz, and more. This was the year of Aaron Suski's big gap back tail that won Best Trick. Thanks, Joe!

The live broadcast on Sunday at Tampa Am 2012 started with a pre-show at 11am, then went straight into covering all the runs in the first of two heats in the Semi-Finals. 300 of the world's top amateur skateboarders were cut down to just 40 skaters that go in two heats of Semi-Finals skating. Those 40 are trying for a top 10 spot to get to the Finals. I'm busy trying to get the huge files from the Tampa Am broadcast organized and uploaded now. In the meantime, I pulled this clip out. Jamie Foy stuck a gap 360 flip lipslide in the first minute of Independent Best Trick during Tampa Am. Here's the minute from the live broadcast with Vern Laird and Tim O'Connor. In Tim O'Connor's words, "Blonde Chunk tre flipped the whole thing to lipslide."

The Monday morning after Tampa Am is spent in meetings discussing the Tampa Am weekend and how we can improve it and learn lessons for the next big event, Tampa Pro. I also spent a few hours emptying out my camera and getting a few photos together here: Tampa Am 2012 Photos. What a weekend. Thanks again to everyone that was a part of it, from viewers to workers to lurkers and all in between.

The pre-show on Sunday starts at 11am, then at noon when the Contest starts, it's 100% coverage of the runs in the Semi-Finals, the Moat Race Presented by Curren Caples, and the Finals.
