Sequences from Maloof Money Cup NYC 2010
Shane O'Niell - thank you for bringing the house down with this amazing switch flip back lip at Maloof Money Cup. At the first Maloof Money Cup, the last section with the big carcass toss stuff counted for a much larger percentage of your score. People complained. So, on this one, all parts of the course counted equal. People complained. So what did we learn from all this? That people complain. It will never go away, especially with what's at stake. It's good that people complain - all of our opinions count and it's part of what keeps skateboarding what it is. With all sections being equal value, I personally like that we all get to see the style of people like Brian Anderson and Eric Koston combined with skating from the parachute jumpers and pole dancers. You can discuss on the Thrasher site.

We're now at the Forbidden City where Sheckler is kickflipping on some bridge that I'm sure has some amazing history to it.

Greg Meyers' nollie flip 360 was insane even though it was a bit of a Hair Mary-ish landing.

This is Tablecloth, appropriately nicknamed by Pang after his choice of pink checker shirt. After approaching us and asking to skate in the jam, we told him to go out there and show us what he's got. He started with a good looking nollie down the steps, which prompted the peanut gallery on the mics to have a discussion about what pros over the years have been known for good looking, but mediocre, tricks. Nate Jones of course came up. Tablecloth then stepped it up with this frontside flip. Come skate Damn Am, Tablecloth. See you there.

Billy Billy Davenport was turning heads all day long. He skated Damn Am in 2007, but in a sea of over 200 rippers, it's pretty tough to stand out.

Anthony Pshebelski was one of the first ones there in the morning and one of the last ones skating. This is a nollie flip off the wedge and into the hillside greens of Hollenbeck Park.

When Alejandro Burnell was having trouble making this kickflip from his new height, I threatened him with take a poop consequences. He quickly rolled away. I'll be back at the Park on Monday. Let's learn some new tricks and get them on digital film so I can talk mad crap about you on the internet? Cool, see you on the course.

Curren also must have magnets in his shoes because that would explain how he caught this kickflip over the channel so smoothly.

Jereme Knibbs manhandled that bull like a matador. This is him properly catching a frontside flip. Too bad he didn’t do it during his jam because he saw someone else do it first.

Felipe was killing practice, but I guess he blew it in his jam because I didn’t see him in the semi-finals. This is a switch kickflip back tail.

Enjoy this trick while you can, Alejandro. You've only got another year or two before you have to put it in the vault and throw away the key on this classic tyke stunt.
