Mike Vallely and etnies Part Ways

Lake Forest, CA - LAKE FOREST, Calif. - After eight years, etnies announced that the company and Mike Vallely have parted ways--both pursuing other opportunities.

"Mike has been a valuable part of etnies," says Don Brown, etnies Vice President of Marketing. "Because we know that Mike is an amazing skateboarder, we know that he will continue to be successful."

In 1984, Mike started street skating with his original and creative approach. He immediately began a successful career, and etnies signed him onto their team of professional riders in 1997. Shortly after joining etnies, Vallely released his pro model shoe, which was a strong seller for many years. In addition, etnies and Vallely collaborated on three successful video projects, including Sponsored.

Mike continues to tour, participate in contests, perform at demos, sign autographs and simply hang out with his fans. etnies wishes him the best as he continues to pursue his passion for skateboarding.
