A very bad impression of Gonz by Mark Waters |
Vanessa Torres help me shut down the bar last night, too. She was wasted, I mean like MILLIGAN WASTED. She could still smith grind the round rail before noon, though |
This is Lauren Perkins doing a backside 50-50, emphasis on the backside |
Lacey Baker definitely didn't get cursed with the sketchy, girly looking kickflip. She does them right |
A couple years ago I talked to Jessie Van Roechoudt at Tampa Pro for a bit. She seemed very intelligent. This is a noseslide on the bump to ledge |
Evelien Bouilliart can throw herself down the rails like a man. She can also rock the TAPS like a man. This is a lipslide down the round rail |
Elissa Steamer helped me shut down the bar last night. She was up early ripping. This is a backside nosegrind |
Elissa Steamer ollied this double set in about three tries |
Amy Caron has a nice non-saggy BSTS |
- I think Rob shot more photos of the one hot, female photographer than he did of the actual girl skaters
- Vanessa Torres did fs boards, fs 50-50’s, and a fs smith all down the 11-stair rail. That was crazy
- Vanessa also was rocking the same exact gear (not sure on the underwear) she was last night in the lobby, although she did make a shirt change for the finals
- Evelyn can feeble grind and fs lipslide the 11-stair
- Amy Caron has the best style going out of any girl. She’s skates like she could care less about it and she’s killing it the entire time. The kickflip to manny won me over
- Lacey Baker was the youngest girl out there at age 13. As she gets a bit older she’s going to come up for sure. For those who know him, she’s actually Jeffrey Marshall’s half-sister and she’s got the flick just like him

Special thanks to etnies for supplying us with free Wahoo’s Tacos. That’s some good stuff right there. We need them in Florida. I ended up having lunch with some top am kids that were talking crap on Anthony Mosley. And then I got into a deep conversation about love, life, and alcoholism with my friend Lindsey Byrnes. This great skateboarding experience allows me to interact with some of the greatest people and I appreciate every minute of it.
