The course is divided into three sections.
48 skaters, 24 on Friday, 24 on Saturday.
6 jams, 4 skaters per jam, 5 minutes per section, course divided into 3 sections.
Five judges score from 1 to 100 based on overall performance per section.
Total score from all 3 sections is your final score.
Top 6 from Friday and top 6 from Saturday advance to 12 skater Finals.

4 jams, 3 skaters per jam, 7 minutes per section, course divided into 3 sections.
Five judges score from 1 to 100 based on overall performance per section.
Total score from all 3 sections is your final score.

MALOOF MONEY CUP RETURNS TO SO CAL AUG 4-8: TICKETS ON SALE NOW FOR WORLD’S GREATEST SKATEBOARDING EVENT

Chris Cole and Alex Perelson Defend their Titles as World Watches LIVE on FUEL TV! 5-Day Event Kicks Off with Masters of Street & Vert

(Irvine, Calif. – July 8, 2010) – The Maloof Money Cup, presented by Vans, returns to the OC Fair in Costa Mesa, Calif. August 4-8. With nearly $450,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs, the world’s greatest skateboarding event will feature the VOLCOM Street Pro, Carl’s Jr. Pro Vert Championships, World Industries Amateur Championships, Women’s Pro Street, Tech Deck Best Trick Contest, Masters of Street and Vert, and a 50,000-square-foot Festival Village featuring skateboarding activities for all ages, autograph signings and live music.

Chris Cole and Alex Perelson will defend their MMC titles against some very stiff competition, including Bastien Salabanzi, Ryan Decenzo, Peter Ramondetta, David Gonzalez, Keegan Sauder, Geoff Rowley, Tommy Sandoval, Dennis Busenitz, Justin Brock, Anthony Van Engelen, Bob Burnquist, Pierre Luc Gagnon (2008 MMC Champ), Rune Glifberg and Bucky Lasek. New for 2010, the event schedule features a Masters of Street and a Masters of Vert demo to kick-off the 2010 Orange County contest. Sponsored by S-One Helmets, Concrete Wave, Steadham Skate Industries, Independent Trucks, Bones Wheels and Powell Peralta, the Masters demos will feature skating icons such as Christian Hosoi, Steve Caballero, Jesse Martinez, Ron Allen, Lance Mountain, Eddie Reategui, Eric Dressen, Chris Miller, Lester Kasai, Steve Steadham, Duane Peters, Tony Magnusson, Kevin Staab, Jeff Grosso, Eric Nash, Ben Schroeder, Pat Ngoho and Mike Mcgill. A special autograph signing with the Masters will take place Wednesday at the Masters’ booth in the Festival Village. Check the MMC website for autograph signing days/times.

Now in its third year, the Maloof Money Cup OC is the largest pursed event in the history of professional skateboarding with nearly $450,000 in cash and prizes. The 2010 MMC Orange County will feature LIVE television coverage on FUEL TV as well as a live webcast capturing every second of the action on www.fuel.tv/maloofmoneycup.

As part of the 2010 OC Fair, the Maloof Money Cup brings fairgoers an exciting opportunity to see the world’s best professional and up-and-coming amateur skateboarders compete. The OC Fair was recently named the No. 11 top U.S. fair in attendance. In 2009, the OC Fair saw 1,072,018 visitors through its gates during its 23-day run. The OC Fair is poised to break into the Top 10 in 2010, which will mark its 120th year. The 2010 OC Fair (www.ocfair.com), located off the 405 and 55 freeways at 88 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa, will run from July 16 – August 15 (open Wednesday-Sunday).
