Save The World's First Skate Park Rally - Carlsbad Skatepark
Words and Photos by Mike Sinclair
The corner of Palomar Airport Road and Business Park Drive in Carlsbad, California is where a rally went down today to save the first ever skate park built in California. The park has been buried for years and in the late 80's Mike McGill built a skate park on top of the buried skate park. The City of Carlsbad plans to build office buildings over the old remains unless someone at the City takes notice of Dave Bergthold's actions to save the park. Here are a few pictures from today's event. Thanks to all who showed their support.
