ABOUT

Come join us on Saturday for FREE SKATING all day!

SPoT is proud to announce the 12th Annual Clash of the Crews Presented by Vans, an epic shop versus shop team battle. Four skaters can enter from each crew, [including one pro if you got it like that], PLUS an optional TM or owner to make yours a five person crew. In addition to the traditional Team Street contest and the Death Race that we've always done, we're adding Bowl Jam and Best Trick events with each team choosing one skater to represent their shop in each. The good times will be rolling April 28-29 and we hope to see your Crew at SPoT ready to get into it. Only one team will claim the Clash of the Crews title and bring victory home for their shop. Good luck!

CONTEST REQUIREMENTS

• Invite only
• Must be an established skate shop with actual team riders, not just a team you made up on the fly
• 25 shops is the max

  • CREWS

    • If you are a crew with no retail or online shop, you must be an established name that's been around for at least a year (website, skatepark, shirts, etc.)
    • Approved crews will be put on a waiting list
    • If shop max is not met by April 10, we will start adding crews in the order they emailed us

FORMAT

TEAM STREET CONTEST

Each team to skate in one 3-minute jam
The top four teams advance to skate in 3-minute head-to-head elimination jams to determine the winner

• Elimination Jams

  • Round 1
    • 1st battles 4th
  • Round 2
    • 2nd battles 3rd
    • Score average determines 3rd & 4th place
  • Round 3
    • Winners of 1st & 2nd rounds battle

• Prize Money

  • Purse $2,000
    • 1st Place - $1,000
    • 2nd Place - $500
    • 3rd Place - $300
    • 4th Place - $200

STREET BEST TRICK CONTEST

Each shop picks their best trickster to clash on the Best Trick trick obstacle for 30 minutes - $250 for the winner

BOWL JAM

Each shop picks their best transition skater to clash in the Bowl for 30 minutes - $250 for the winner

DEATH RACE

3 - 4 skater races that zig and zag all around the park, good for laughs and slams, and possibly death itself - $250 for the winner

• 12:00pm - Doors Open - Practice and registration
• Free skating for contestants (free skating is permitted all week and the week after)
• 6:00pm - Free BBQ + beer for contestants 21 and up
• 7:00pm - Indoor Bowl Jam
• 6:30pm
• Each shop picks their best transition skater to clash in the Bowl
• 30 minute jam
• $250 - 1st place
• 8:00pm - Vans Death Race on Pro Course
• 3 - 4 skaters per race
• Elimination format until 3 skaters are left for a final race
• $250 - 1st place
• 10:00pm - PARK CLOSES

• 11:00am - 2:00pm - Boards for Bros board build
• 12:00pm - Contest starts - Free BBQ and beverages for contestants
• Team Street Contest Qualifiers
• 4 skaters from each crew (1 pro permitted per shop)
• 5 total skaters permitted if owner / Team Manager skates
• Each skater gets a score, top 3 average of highest scores give you your crew's score
• Only four teams advance to Finals
• Street Best Trick Format
• Each shop picks their best trickster to clash on the Best Trick obstacle in a 30 minute jam
• 30 minute jam
• $250 - 1st place
• Team Street Contest Finals
• Top Four shops from qualifiers battle it out for the Clash of the Crews 2023 Title
• Awards and Product Toss
