The Numbers
I am so glad there are that many skate nerds out there that sit down on Sunday to watch Tampa Pro. Below are some traffic stats comparing this year's numbers to last year on Tampa Pro weekend.
There were some amazing increases in unique visitors and the average amount of time they spent on the site. Mobile visitors already had a sharp increase. We also picked up an additional 12,563 Facebook likes. Thanks y'all! Dive into some details here.
As far as the broadcast itself:
- The player was requested 1,073,359 times with 62,428 of those being unique visitors.
- The peak number of simultaneous connections was 13,043 people.
- 42,642 gigabytes were transferred. Anyone want to pick up the bandwidth bill?
- There was a total of 3,888,034 connection minutes.
Pre-Show for the Live Broadcast
The Pre-Show for this year's Tampa Pro Live Broadcast includes highlights of the winners from the last 10 years, recaps of the amazing skateboarding from Practice and the Qualifiers, a review of Dennis Busenitz's amazing run from 2011, and more. It was our first attempt at doing an organized thing before the live broadcast. Do we look like we know what we're doing? I don't know, but it sure was fun planning this one out.
