Ever since skateboarding really exploded, I've seen all kinds of nasty emails from crazy skate parents that over-react on various things: stuff said on the mic, things I say on the site, a joke they don't get, not understanding their kid can't get a Damn Am or Tampa Am spot because he still does blunt nosegrabs, etc. It's always been am parents. This weekend we got a long email complaint from two parents of someone in the Pro Contest. Wow. Wacky parents can derail a kid's skate career for sure. Think about the last person you know that "parted" with a high profile company and is still not picked up by another company and coverage has basically dried up. Thank the parents for that.
