The Big O is currently under dirt

By Rob Meronek, Posted on Monday, August 27, 2012

The Big O is currently under dirt right around the corner from the Contest. They moved it to a new area to keep it skateable, but some kind of engineering damage happened on the property which caused delays in having it ready to rip.

By Rob Meronek, Posted on Thursday, July 26, 2012

The smell of the great outdoors fills the Copenhagen Skatepark with all this freshly cut lumber everywhere. That combined with sounds of birds chirping being played through the sound system makes for quite a scene when you first set foot in the park. It's not open today, but will be open on Friday at noon for practice before the Qualifiers start at 4pm.

Atlanta's DIY Spot Chicken Coop

By Porpe, Posted on Friday, April 27, 2012

When I first saw the photo of Grant Taylor's ollie I couldn't comprehend how he landed back on it due to how skinny it is. It isn't saying much, but it took me a couple tries just to roll over this thing.

Turtle Ditch in Tampa

A small sample of the complete crap spots us oldies in Tampa skate. So fun. Don't try to build anything here though. The gub'ment will smash it.

Apollo Beach Skatepark Prelim Design

By Rob Meronek, Posted on Monday, November 7, 2011

Why don't city owned basketball, football, and baseball fields coach nanny on staff making you sign a waiver and wear a jock strap? For some reason, cities today still think pad nannies are needed for skateboarding. Apollo Beach is next up to be forward thinking enough to build a skate park, but keeping roots in gub'ment assbackwardsness and making it fenced in with waivers and pads required. Oh well, here's the preliminary design by Team Pain. Looks pretty good, you think?

Thanks for the run of the facility, Nike TF
